While there were only a couple of outright turn-downs, West was allowed into most of the things he wanted to attend.
According to a source close to him, “People in Paris have come to realize that Kanye operates on a different wavelength. . . . He’s used to deciding on the spur of the moment approximately going to things — like he does in New York or Hollywood. So, unlike in March, things went a little more smoothly for him — except for how poorly his collection was received.
“In Paris or Milan — in the world of haute couture — things don’t work like that,” the source said. “Arranging the seating for those shows is planned for weeks, due to the pecking order designers assign to fashion world stars — from [Vogue editor] Anna Wintour all the way down.”
